The famous Damrath family recipe
Melt butter in large sauce pot (with lid)
Add onion (chopped) and minced garlic
Sauté on medium heat until onion is translucent and butter is browned
Add ground beef
Chop ground beef with spatula and mix with onion/garlic/butter mixture while browning beef
When ground beef is lightly browned, drain mixture in colander/strainer to remove grease
Return mixture to pot
Add paprika, dark red chili powder, cayenne pepper and salt
Continue to brown and mix till mixture is thoroughly cooked
Add tomato sauce and tomato paste
Lower heat and simmer for at least 30 mins
Depending how "cooked" you like your beans, either add after 30 mins or add about 30 mins before serving so beans are hot, but not soft (still crisp)
Optional: serve with shredded cheese, sour cream, fresh chopped white onion and yellow corn tortilla chips
Enjoy!
