I have a big family, so this can be cut in half for an average family. It is an easy dish that your family will love.
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
1. Prepare pie shell as directed for a Pre-baked pie shell.
2. Brown Ground Beef, add dried onion.
3. Add taco seasoning, but only use 1/2 the water that is directed. Set aside.
4. Put refried beans and Pace into a mixing bowl and mix together. Set aside.
5. Chop tomato and onion for toppings
6. When pie shells are finished, spread a layer of the bean mixture on the bottom, using 1/4 of the mixture in each shell.
7. Place 1/2 cup of tortilla chips in each shell.
8. Place 1/2 cup cheese in each shell.
9. Place 1/2 the meat on top of the first 3 layers of each shell.
10. Cover the meat with 1/4 of the bean mixture, using the last of it up.
11. Put 1 cup of cheese on top of each pie.
12. Cook at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
Serve with any thing you would put on a taco.
This is also good if you use ground turkey.
