This is a great hamburger casserole with a lighter flair.
PREP TIME: 15 min BAKE TIME: 23-25 min
Preheat oven to 400? F. Meanwhile, spray a 9x13-inch glass baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. In a medium bowl, stir together water, egg whites (or egg product), Bisquick mix and 1 cup of cheese, spread on bottom of baking dish.
In a large skillet, cook beef over medium-high heat 5-7 minutes, stirring occassionally until brown; drain off fat. Stir in the vegetables and soup until hot. Spread over batter in pan.
Bake for 23-25 minutes or until edges are a light golden brown. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup of cheese and cook for 3-5 more minutes or until cheese is melted.
HIGH ALTITUDE: (3500-6500 ft) No changes.
I add catsup on top of each slice before serving.
