Pre heat oven to 400'
Melt butter in a cassarole.
Pour flour into a mixing bowl
Add the eggs, salt and sugar.
Add 1/2 of the milk.
Mix well until smooth.
Add the rest of the milk and finish mixing.
Pour into greased cassarole and bake about 20 minutes.
Put jam in micro and nuke about 20 seconds.
Add a splash of cognac and pour on top of popover.
Slice and serve
