Suggest a better descriptionSoften 1 pkg yeast in 1/4 C warm water. Warm 1 cup cottage cheese to lukewarm.
Mix yeast & cottage cheese with sugar, soda, butter, unbeaten egg, dill seed, onion & salt. Add 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 cups flour to form stiff dough. Mix well after each addition.
Cover & let raise in warm place 'til doubled in size (50-60 minutes) Punch down dough & turn into greased 8" round (1 1/2 - 2 quart) casserole. Let rise in warm place 30-40 minutes.
Bake at 350 for 40-50 minutes until golden brown. Take out of pan immediately. Brush with soft butter & sprinkle with salt
Sometimes almost double the flour if too sticky.
