Suggest a better descriptionPound the round steak very thin and cut into serving portions. In a small bowl mix together the egg and the milk. Have the flour and the breadcrumbs ready in shallow bowls. Coat the round steak in the flour. Dip into the egg and then the breadcrumbs.
In a skillet heat 1/4 cup of oil. Cook the round steak on all sides until brown. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
In a saucepan blend together 2 tablespoons of oil and the flour. Add the salt and pepper to taste. Gradually pour in the milk. Cook over medium heat for 1 minute, stirrring constantly until the gravy thickens. Pour over the round steak.
