In large mixing bowl, combine 1 1/2 cup flour, yeast, sugar and seasonings; mix well. In saucepan, heat milk, water and butter til warm. Add to flour mixture. Add egg. Blend at low speed til moistened. Beat 3 min at medium speed. By hand, gradually stir in 1/2 C cheese and enough remaining flour to make a firm dough. Knead on well-floured surface til smooth and elastic, about 3-5 minutes. Place in greased bowl, turning to grease top. Cover and let rise in warm oven 15 min. Punch dough down and divide into 16 pieces. Form into balls. Dip tops into melted butter and 1/4 Cup cheese. Place on well-greased 13x9" baking pan or 2 8" round pans. Cover and let rise in warm oven about 10 minutes. Bake at 375F for 20-25 minutes or til golden brown. Remove from pan, and cool.
