easy grilled beef Shishkabobs. Originally a CIA recipe with some minor modifications.
Place 1/2 of Beef Flat Iron Steak in a plastic bag or Ziplock.
Pound until around 1/2 inch thick or desired thickness.
Cutting against meat grain, cut into strips; around 1.5 inches wide by 5-6 inches long.
Repeat with other half of steak.
Thread strips accordion-like onto either metal or soaked wooden skewers.
Wrap wooden skewer handles with aluminum foil.
Cover and refrigerate.
MISO GLAZE
For Miso Glaze, combine glaze ingredients in saucepan; bring to a simmer.
Cook 15-20 minutes until thick and reduced almost half.
Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
Brush Steak skewers with Glaze.
Grill over medium heat to medium rare to medium (around 5-6 minutes per side, flipping once).
Rest for a couple of minutes.
Add desired garnishes.
