In the bowl of an electric mixer cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg & vanilla extract.
In a medium bowl whisk together flour, coca powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add the dry ingredients all at once to the butter & egg mixture. Beat on low speed until just combined.
Stop mixer and stir in chocolate chips.
Scoop cookie dough onto baking sheet and bake for 11-12 minutes or until done.
