The Chef's mother worked at the hotel and this is the real recipe.
1. Grind oats in the food processor until fine.
2. Combine the ground oats with flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in a medium bowl.
3. Cream together butter, sugar, vanilla and lemon juice in a medium bowl.
4. Add the eggs and mix until smooth. Stir the dry mixture into the wet and blend well.
5. Add the chocolate chips and nuts to the dough. Mix by hand until well mixed.
6. For best results chill the dough in the refrigerator over night.
7. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Bake 16 to 18 minutes.
