Try this soft spiced cookie recipe. This recipe makes about 6 dozen cookies so there are plenty to give away as a holiday gift.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Sift first 6 ingredients together.
Cream shortening and sugar together. Add milk to beaten eggs.
Add dry ingredients alternately with liquid to creamed mixture.
Add nuts, raisins and honey.
Drop from teaspoon onto greased baking sheet and bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) until browned (10-15 minutes).
Makes about 6 dozen hermits.
