A nice side dish made of steamed cauliflower, broccoli and Bechamel sauce
- Steam broccoli for 3 minutes and put in ice water
- Steam cauliflower for 3 minutes and put in ice water
- Drain veggies and put in a high edged baking pan
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir in flour, cook, stirring for 2-4 minutes or until light brown.
- Remove from heat, gradually stir in milk while whisking.
- Return to heat, cook, stirring, for 5-8 minutes or until the mixtures boils and thickens.
- Remove from heat, stir in parmesan cheese.
- Season with salt, pepper and spices (nutmeg, or garlic powder, etc ...)
- Pour cheese sauce prepared above, on the veggies and mix well until all pieces are covered with sauce.
- Sprinkle a generous amount of grated mozzarella on top of the mixture.
- Put in over for 10 minutes under 400 F (200 C)
- Broil for 2 minutes.
