Poufy German pancake! A delight to the eyes and the taste buds. Good morning indeed.
Preheat oven to 425, putting an oven-proof pan (cast iron skillet works perfectly here) in the oven to heat along with it.
Sift flour into a medium sized bowl.
Combine the remaining ingredients and whisk until smooth. Alternately, you can use a blender.
Let the batter rest while the oven heats up.
Once the oven reaches the correct temperature, remove the pan and place it on the stove.
Melt the butter in the pan.
Once completely melted, pour in the batter making sure it is evenly distributed in the pan and put the pan in the oven.
Cook for about 15 minutes.
Serve directly in the skillet, dusting with a bit of powdered sugar.
NOTE: Try putting some sliced apples at the bottom of the pan after the butter melts.
