A quick and yummy breakfast potato. Tastier option to store bought hash browns!
Begin by scrubbing your potato(es) in the sink. Next, dice the potato(es) into 1/2 inch pieces.
Heat the butter in a pan on the stove at medium heat.
Once potato(es) are diced, put them in the pan and push and flip around until the butter is coating the pieces. At this time, also add salt an pepper to taste.
Let them cook for approximately 15 minutes COVERED.
By covering it, it helps them stay soft on the inside and crispier on the outside.
Check them every 5-7 minutes to flip to ensure they are browned on each side and don't burn!
Do not add the potato(es) into the pan until it's hot. It makes them crispier!
Add some diced onion, spices, and veggies to make a heartier side!
I have no kids and have only made this as a side so I use one potato for John and I to split!
