These are old fashioned donuts at their best
Beat eggs and sugar, milk, butter, and vanilla.
Sift flour, with baking powder and salt. add to the egg mixture.
if needed, add more flour to make a soft dough.
Roll out on a floured board, to 1/2 inch thick
cut with donut cutter, and fry in 375 degree fat until brown, and turn once.
drain on paper towel. When cool, dust with sugar in a paper bag.
