Suggest a better descriptionWhisk flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda, allspice, salt and pepper in a bowl. Beat butter, molasses and sugar in a bowl until fluffy. Add flour mixture, beat until incorporated. Divide dough in half, wrap in plastic wrap, refrigerate 30 min. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Roll out dough on a floured surface until 1/8" thick. Cut out shapes using 3" cookie cutters, arrange on 2 ungreased baking sheets. Gather scraps, reroll to cut out more cookies. Refrigerate cutouts 10 min. Bake cookies until edges are browned 15 min. Let cool 2 min. on baking sheets, then transfer to racks to cool. MAKE ICING---Whisk powdered sugar with 1 tbs boiling water in a bowl, add 1 tsp water if icing is too thick.
