In a large bowl, mix 1 cup flour, sugar, yeast and salt; blend well. Gradually add warm water and 2 tablespoons oil to flour mixture. Blend at low speed until moistened; beat 2 minutes at medium speed, scraping the bowl occasionally. By hand stir in additional 1-1 1/2 cups flour until dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
On a floured surface, knead in 1/4 to 1/2 cup flour until dough is smooth and elastic, about 8 to 10 minutes. cover loosely with plastic wrap. let rest in warm place for 10 minutes. heat over to 450*. Roll dough into 12-inch circle. Place on lightly-greased 12-inch pizza pan or cookie sheet. prick dough with fork. Let rest 10 minutes. pre-bake crust at 450* for 5 minutes. let cool while you prepare pizza toppings. Crust is ready to use.
