Cut up onion and ham (size depends on how you like it)
Sort beans (I use a rimmed cookie sheet to make it easier)
Place all ingredients in pressure cooker with seasonings to taste.
Add oil to keep the frothing down
Turn on high pressure for 25 minutes
NOTE: you do not have to add the red chili pepper, but that gives it a little kick
NOTE: if your ham is frozen (like from left overs) increase time to about 45 minutes
NOTE: this is for an electric pressure cooker (sorry but I only can with my stove top one)
