1. Pre heat the oven to 425F.
2. Put pie crust into 9 inch pie pan.
3. Combine filling ingredients in order given.
4. Pour into pie shell.
5. Bake 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350F and bake an additional 45 minutes or until knife inserted near center of pie comes out clean. For the last 45 minutes place foil ring around the edge of the crust.
I personally do not use salt to keep the sodium low. As a rule of thumb you can never have too much vanilla, so it's ok if you put in a little extra of the vanilla and spices in this pie.
