These are elegant and easy. Great for holiday parties as an alternative to the usual flavors.
1. Combine the cream cheese, maple syrup, cinnamon and ground ginger. Stir with an electric mixer or by hand until completely smooth.
2. Put the cream cheese mixer into a pastry bag fitted with a larger tip. If you do not have a pastry bag, you may use a plastic sandwich bag with the corner cut off. Pipe a dime-sized round of cream cheese onto each gingersnap.
3. If the candied ginger is large, cut it into smaller pieces (about inch cubes). Press a piece of candied ginger into the cream cheese on each cookie.
