Suggest a better description1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line loaf pan with parchment paper and coat with butter or pan spray to create a non-stick surface.
2) In a large bowl, combine hot water, baking soda and molasses. Whisk until combined. Allow to cool.
3) Sift all dry ingredients together in large bowl. Make a well in the center. Set aside.
4) Add oil, sugar and egg to the molasses mixture. Whisk until fully combined.
5) Pour wet ingredients into the well of the dry ingredients. Whisk carefully to avoid lumps by starting in the middle and moving outward until all of the dry ingredients are fully combines. Fold in chopped candied ginger.
6) Pour into prepared loaf pan and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean.
7) Cool.
