Mix in shortening and grated rind and juice of 1 orange plus water to make 3/4 c. and 1 egg beaten.
Fold in 1c. raw cranberries, cut in 1/2.
Pour into greased 9x5 loaf pan.
Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
