fabulous, twisted knot dinner rolls.
Heat milk for 3.5 minutes in a glass bowl, set aside.
In mixing bowl add potato flakes, sugar, salt, butter, shortening. Mix well, pour milk on top and let cool.
Once cooled, add eggs and yeast. Gradually add flour. After 7 cups of flour watch for dough to pull away from sides. Add additional flour if necessary so dough is sticky, but will not stick to finger. Remove mixing beaters, cover with towel for one hour.
Butter counter, roll out 1/2 of the dough into a 1/2 inch rectangle. Butter top of dough then fold in towards middle in three sections. The dough will be a tri- fold. Roll out again to about 1/2 inch thick. Cut 3/4 inch strips. Lay center of strip on counter and twist each strand in opposite directions. Tie in a knot on top and tuck ends under roll.
Place on buttered cookie sheet, cover with sprayed waxed paper, let rise 2-3 hours.
Roll out additional dough.
Bake at 375 for 10-15 minutes
