Put feijoas, dates, ginger, sugar and butter into a pot with boiling water.
Simmer for 5 minutes.
Sift dry ingredients together.
Beat eggs and vanilla, then in batches combine all ingredients together.
Pour into loaf tin.
Bake 40 minutes at 180 degrees
