Suggest a better description1. Mix first 4 ingredients. In mixer with paddle, mix next 3 ingredients and 1/2 tsp. salt. Add puree mixture. Beat on medium-low 5 minutes. Let rise 1 hour in covered greased bowl. Punch down dough; shape into 15 balls.
2. Cut 7 slits in balls. Press pecan in center. Place on greased baking pan. Cover; let rise 30 minutes. Brush with egg if desired. Bake at 350F 10 minutes or until done.
Prep-ahead tip: Make dough up to 1 month ahead. After shaping, freeze. Let thaw and rise for 2 hours before baking.
