In a large skillet cook and stir walnuts and butter for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, salt and pepper. In a large bowl toss the greens, cranberries,cheese and walnuts. Place the dressing ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Drizzle over the salad and toss. Serve.
