Meanwhile, in large skillet melt butter. Add crushed garlic for a few minutes, then remove and discard.

Stir in flour until smooth. Add half and half. Stir until sauce begins to thicken. Stir in cheese, mushrooms and crab. Season to taste. Continue cooking over medium high heat until warmed through and thickened. Crab maybe pre-warmed in microwave to speed that the step.
Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of fresh minced parsley, saving a few sprigs for garnish. Serve over fettuccine.
