Cook noodles until tender, not soft. Put in serving dish over low heat. Add butter, stir until melted. Add cheese and cream, a little at a time. Mix lightly with 2 forks until absorbed. Add pepper.
You can also add any cooked vegetable or meat to this. I have added, mushrooms, peas, broccoli, ham, salmon, chicken, sausage, etc.
