Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
In a metal tube pan heat the sugar over medium high heat, moving the pan constantly, without the help of a spoon, until it melts and forms a liquid caramel. Vove the pan so you cover the inner face with the caramel. Let the pan cool.
Blend the eggs in a mixer until bubbly, add the evaporated milk and mix on high for 8 minutes. Add the vanilla extract, salt, and sweetened condensed milk, mix on high for 8 minutes. Add the milk and mix until combined.
Pour into cooled tube pan. Put the tube pan inside a cake pan with about 2 inches of hot water in it.
Bake for 45 minutes, let cool completely in the refrigerator.
When cold, heat over medium high heat until caramel melts slightly and you are able to remove flan by turning upside down on a platter.
