Flour Tortillas, recipe that my Swedish mother received from the mother of a student when teaching migrant school during summers in Minnesota.
Source: My mom....
Mix first three ingredients in large bowl. Cut in lard. Add hot water and work into soft dough. Roll out about 1/4 cup at a time to about 1/8 inch thick on well-floured surface. Place in frying pan or on grill at about 350 degrees until some brown spots appear on bottom. Turn over and repeat on other side. Should be soft enough to roll; shorten cooking time if tortillas are not flexible.
Don't cook too long or tortillas will be too hard and will crack when rolled.
