Mix the flour with the baking powder then mix in the shortening (by hand until it is like the size of peas).
Add the salt to the very warm water then pour water into flour mixture. Knead by hand until thoroughly mixed. Let rest about five minutes in warm spot. Then pinch off small balls the size of a golf ball, make into a flat disc and roll out on floured surface. You have to do this one at a time. This recipe should make about 25 tortillas. Cook on non-stick flat pan and it should be very hot. Cook and flip.
