Jane Bour's recipe
Slowly pour cold milk into flour and cook in double boiler until thick (don't overcook).
Cool. Soften butter and margarine to room temperature. Add pudding mixture and beat slightly. Add 1 cup of sugar slowly, beating on medium speed. Beat for an additional 10 minutes. Add vanilla.
