This is a great way to use up all those fresh tomatoes that seem to show up on everyone's doorstep in the summer.
Heat the olive oil in large sauce pan, cook garlic. Stir in tomato paste until rusty in color.
Pour in broth, heat. Stir in tomatoes, herbs and wine. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
To peel tomatoes;
Score an X on the bottom of tomato, drop into boiling water for 1 minute, then transfer to cold water
skin should peel off easily
Serve with Garlic bread or grilled cheese sammies!
