Awesome way to fix fresh green beans.
Clean and prepare the beans.
Melt the bacon grease in a skillet over medium heat, add garlic and onion and cook for a minute to soften.
Add the beans and cook for about a minute or until they turn bright green.
Add the chicken broth, chopped pepper, salt & pepper.
Turn to low, cover with a lid (cracked to allow steam to escape) and cook 20-30 minutes until most of the liquid is gone and the beans are fairly soft, but still crisp.
Serve immediately
You can get the bacon grease by frying about 4 slices of bacon in the skillet, and just leave the bacon in too!
