Completely dry tofu on paper towels, squeezing lightly. Cut tofu block into 1/2-inch cubes.
In a small bowl, combine cornstarch and cayenne pepper. Add tofu cubes to mixture and coat thoroughly with your hands.
Heat 2 inches of vegetable oil in wok or frying pan over medium-high heat. Add coated tofu and cook until golden brown. Remove to paper towel-lined plate to rest. Serve with Thai chili sauce.
