This recipe comes from the "King Arthur Flour 200th Anniversary Cookbook". Friendship Starter: Blend well in a glass or ceramic bowl. Cover with plastic and let it work for at least 24 hours. Friendship Cake: Preheat oven to 350 F. Beat the oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla until light. Add the starter and beat until smooth.
