Suggest a better descriptionCookies: In a large bowl, combine and beat the butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in the honey and egg. Sift together all of the dry ingredients then add to the butter mixture and incorporate to form dough. Divide the dough in half, pat into 2 balls, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 350 F.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to 1/8th inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes with a knife or cookie cutters. Carefully place the cookies onto a cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Allow to cool completely on racks before frosting.
Frosting: In a medium bowl, mix together the sugar, vanilla and water a bit at a time until desired consistency is reached. For a thicker frosting use less water. If desired, add food coloring a few drops at a time until desired color is achieved.
Spread the frosting onto the cookies. Dust with sprinkles if desired
