Suggest a better descriptionMake sauce first so it has time to thicken. Combine sauce ingredients (first five ingredients) in pan, heat stirring occasionally until it reaches a boil. Remove from heat and add 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla. Let sauce cool.
Combine crushed cookies and butter to form crust in bottom of 9x13 pan.
Cut vanilla ice cream into one inch slices and place on cookie crust. Cover ice cream with cooled fudge sauce. Top with tub of cool whip and decorate with readi whip, nuts and cherries. Freeze until ready to serve.
