Suggest a better descriptionCut apples into small squares about the size of a die
Cut strawberries approximately the same size as apples
Add strawberries to apples, mix.
Add blue berries/raspberries. If berries aren't available, pick a fruit complentary to apples and strawberries that is/can be cut into pieces about the same size as the apples. Mix. This trifecta of fruit serves as the base of the salad.
Add dried fruit ie."toppings". I use craisins always and then dried fruit that can be chopped up and is healthy...apricots or prunes are great!
Drizzle orange juice over salad so that fruit is lightly coated in juice with just a little bit of liquid on the bottom of the salad.
Gently stir it all up and done!
Key to successful fruit salad: use yummy fruit! It's ok if the fruit originally looks unappealing (you won't notice discoloration in such tiny fruit pieces) but if you use a mealy-tasting apple, you will taste it in the salad. This doesn't mean you need to spend a lot of $ on fruit, just be careful not to put too many questionable pieces of fruit into a fruit salad.
Good as a topping, great on it's own. A perfect dish to make the day before; Keeps for a few days, maybe up to a week.
