Adapted from the Better Homes and Gardens Illustrated Cookbook.
1. Preheat oven to 350øF. Grease a 13" x 9" In a 3-qt saucepan, combine butter and chocolate and cook over low heat until melted, stirring constantly.
2. Remove pan from heat and stir in sugar. Allow to cool slightly.
3. In a small bowl, whisk the eggs. Add a small amount of the melted butter to the eggs to temper, then stir into the chocolate.
4. Stir in the flour, vanilla and salt. Add the nuts and chocolate chips.
5. Pour into the greased baking pan. Bake 30-35 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cook in the pan on a wire rack. Enjoy!
