Cook 14-18 medium red potatoes until tender. Cool. Cut 1# of bacon into small pieces and cook until crisp and drain on paper towel. Set aside.
In bacon grease, cook 1 large chopped onion until clear. Add 1 cup of water and 1 cup of white vinegar, 3/4 cup of sugar. Cook for 10 minutes.
In a large bowl, add sliced potatoes, 1/4 cup of parsley flakes and the crisp cooked bacon. Add the liquid from frying pan and mix well. Add garlic powder and pepper to taste.
