Try this German Potato Salad recipe, or contribute your own.
Suggest a better descriptionBoil potatoes with the skin on until tender.
Peel and slice potatoes and put on top of the chopped onions in a bowl. (this will cook the onions slightly)
Top with sugar, salt, pepper, vinegar, bacon and the bacon grease and carefully mix.
Taste before serving. It may need more vinegar, sugar, salt or pepper.
Optional: Add 1-2 tsp of celery seeds, 2 tbs fresh chopped parsley, sliced hard boiled egg.
