Suggest a better descriptionWash potatoes and boil until tender. Cool, then peel and slice.
In a skillet, sautée half cup diced onion in oil until transparent, but not browned. Add 3/4 cup sugar and stir in 2 tablespoons of flour. Slowly add 3/4 cup cider vinegar and 1/4 cup water. Simmer gently and pour over the potatoes. Mix well, adding 1/4 cup bacon bits.
