Suggest a better descriptionPreheat oven to 375 degrees. In glass mixing bowl combine flour, baking soda, ginger, cloves, salt, cinnamon and set aside. Beat 1 cup sugar, butter and all brown sugar in mixing bowl for 2 minutes until light and fluffy. Add eggs, molasses and vanilla and beat for 1 minute. Add flour mixture and raisins and stir until blended. Shape dough into 1 inch balls and roll in remaining sugar coating generously. Place on greased cookie sheets 1 ½ inches apart. Bake on middle rack for 10-12 minutes until edges are set and centers are still slightly soft. Cool on cookie sheet for 2 minutes before removing to cooling rack
