You will fall In love with these Gingerbread cookies!
Gingerbread is the Christmas dessert. These goodies should not be missing on the Christmas table. Gingerbread cookies are very easy to make and are perfect for everyone’s taste.
When I was a kid, this was my favorite dessert.
I loved to sneak into the kitchen without my mother seeing me and stealing the sweet cookies.
Although it’s been a long time since then, the taste of these dessert reminds me of childhood and about the magical atmosphere of winter holidays.
Did you know? Gingerbread is prepared since ancient times, in the time of the ancient Greeks and Egyptians.
The first cookies were made from bread crumbs instead of flour and were served at certain ceremonies. The form we know today appeared only in the XI century.
The most commonly used flavors were cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves.
Cloves and nutmeg are ingredients with a very strong aroma and therefore I recommend using them in very small quantities.
I prefer the classic version in which I use only cinnamon.
All the recipes that I prepare for holidays seem to be the most delicious recipes. Maybe because there is a splash of Christmas magic and a little more love and kindness than the rest of the year.
I invite you to try my favorite recipe for gingerbread cookies. I’m sure the whole family will appreciate this dessert.
To look as appetizing as possible, you can use your imagination and decorate the sweets as you like, with sugar glaze. Toddlers will enjoy it so much.
