In a large bowl beat margarine, brown sugar and egg until fluffy. Add molasses and corn syrup. Mix flour, baking soda, salt and spices. Stir flour mixture and margarine mixture. The dough should be sticky rather than crumble. Form dough into a ball. Wrap tightly, plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 4 hours or over night. Roll out and cut into shapes. Bake cookies at 350 degrees 8-12 minutes.
Cool at room temperature. Decorate as desired.
