Serve with Pumpkin Bread Pudding
Heat milk, cream, ginger and vanilla until hot and begins to boil, stir occassionly. Remove from heat. While heating, in med bowl whisk egg and sugar til smooth. Slowly pour 1/3 of hot mixture into yolk, whisking constantly. Gradually add yolk mixture back into milk mixture, whisking constantly. Return to burner, continue to cook, stirring constantly until mixture coats back of spoo. Do not boil. Serve warm
