Slightly brown the onion in butter or oil
Add pork and brown - break into small pieces
Transfer pork and onion into a saucepan & cover with water - adding more as water evaporates.
Add two shakes of allspice & cloves, pepper and a little bit of salt.
Simmer for 4 hours, stirring to keep from burning, adding more water as it evaporates to keep it covered.
