This is good
Butter 2 slices of bread and cut in one half inch cubes. Set aside. Cut remaining bread into 1 inch cubes, placing half on bottom of greased 8 inch baking dish. Put milk, eggs, mayonnaise, vegetables, chicken and seasonings into bowl til chopped. Pour over bread cubes in baking dish. Put remaining unbuttered cubes on top, cover and chill at least one hr. Heat oven to 325 F. Spoon soup over bread cubes, top with layer of buttered cubes. Bake 50-55 min or til knife comes out clean. Grate cheese and sprinkle over top of casserole and return to oven for 5 min to melt cheese.
