Suggest a better descriptionPreheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Get yourself a 8 x 12 inch baking dish or similar.
Mix together your dry ingredients in a bowl.
Lightly beat your eggs and melt your butter. Three eggs will probably do for this recipe, but go for four to make it extra decadent and awesome. Mix up the corn, eggs butter and maple syrup.
Add the wet to the dry and mix until combined. Then add milk until the batter is about the same consistency as pancake batter - you should be able to pour it out of the bowl. Note this may be more or less than a half cup of milk. The corn meal will absorb a lot of liquid!
Pour into your pre greased pan and pop it into the oven for about 45 minutes. Take it out when the top has started to brown.
This recipe is not slavish to its proportions - The most important part is the consistency of the batter!
You can also pour a little extra maple syrup on the top of the batter after it is already in the pansv
